it was designed by the Colombian architect Rogelio Salmona. It is based on a circular structure which is surrounded by mirrors of water.The building has 3 levels and is communicated by ramps that come to the outside which allows to offer a tour through interconnected terraces that provide a panoramic view of the city of Bogota and the roofs covered by ceramic tile, director in commemoration of the amphoras Of the pre-Columbian Quimbaya culture.Additionally it has some specialized rooms and a varied programming that has to do with the artistic manifestations, the writing and the reading.It also has a series of specialized rooms: Sala Bogotá, Multiple Room, Reading room for adults that is the most important part of the building; It has reference rooms, specialized information, newspaper library, work rooms, reading rooms, music, cubicles for researchers and book lending area.I think
